Opportunity at a Glance

The Senior Financial Analyst supports Financial Planning & Analysis and enterprise-wide reporting.  This position plays a key role in the development of financial models, annual budgets and forecasts, revenue and expense analysis, and enterprise KPIs.


  • Supports the annual budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning process
    Supports the monthly close, financial reporting and management reporting process
  • Supports sales reporting and analytics; including calculation of sales incentive compensation
  • Works to continually improve revenue reporting and forecasting; supports the development of predictive indicators for revenue
    Provides analytical decision support, including P&L analysis and capital expenditure justification
  • Supports the development and reporting of enterprise-wide KPIs; works to continually improve/refine the metrics used to measure business performance
  • Works collaboratively with other institutions/functional areas (e.g. accounting, marketing, sales, operations, reporting, IT) to assist with enhancing business processes, internal controls and reporting
  • Supports the development of presentations for institutional/functional leadership, board of directors/boards of trustees
  • Identifies and implements process improvement opportunities in the areas of reporting and forecasting; automates tasks wherever possible.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting  MBA or CPA preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of finance and/or accounting experience with demonstrated ability to analyze financial and operational data
  • Knowledge of GAAP, ideally within a public company setting; awareness of Sarbanes Oxley compliance
  • Solid understanding of key business principles
  • Thorough understanding of financial reports and financial modeling required
  • Strong analytic capability and propensity for continuous improvement
  • Ability to operate independently
  • Strong problem solving skill
  • Insightful and service oriented- Ability to organize information, manage tasks and analyze data
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with executive management and staff members
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with developing financial models
  • Experience with SalesForce CRM preferred
  • Experience with enterprise planning applications preferred
  • Potential to assume increasing responsibilities within the department and the organization
