Opportunity at a Glance

The Analyst enables the organization by providing data and reporting that supports Operations, Sales and Finance. In addition, s/he will partner with colleagues across the organization to maintain a reporting environment that supports effective and timely decision making.

 

The Analyst is expected to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) of processes related to data gathering, reporting and analytics. A successful candidate for this position should have experience supporting business processes and producing reporting for business groups, strong communication skills with technical, business colleagues and leaders, knowledge of financial principles and the capacity to learn advanced systems, technology and data visualization tools in order to apply them to optimize processes and improve business efficiencies.

 

 

Responsibilities

As this position supports a wide range of business, systems and process functions, the successful candidate will lead and manage responsibilities as a system and process Subject Matter Expert (SME) and consultant in activities related to data capture, reporting and analytics.

 

Typical responsibilities may include:

  • Providing regularly scheduled and ad hoc reports for sales, operations and finance business groups.
  • Develop reports and dashboards using advanced reporting tools such as Excel, Cognos BI, MS Power BI and other business intelligence analytical tools.
  • Performing administrative functions, executing, maintaining and delivering data requests.
  • Working and communicating with business leaders at all levels to identify needs, determining and recommending system and analytic solutions, documenting data requirements and developing reports and/or system processes to support and optimize business performance
  • Serving as liaison with technical teams in IT to communicate business needs and determining level of effort.
  • Documenting and tracking activities associated with different business processes
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree a plus
  • Strong MS Office skills required, especially with MS Excel
  •  3-5 years of experience dealing with large datasets across multiple platforms and systems
  • 3-5 years of experience preferred working with CRM systems and financial applications
  • Ability to quickly learn processes and understand data
  • Detailed-oriented with the ability to work independently, strong problem solving skills and the ability to drive findings to solutions
  • Experience using SQL and advanced analytical tools such as Cognos,, Power BI or Crystal reports is a plus
  • Ability to work independently, problem solve and drive to solutions
  • Good written and oral communication problem solving skills.
