Becker Professional Education provides exam preparation and continuing professional education solutions to individual consumers, universities  and business partners. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating sales in multiple product lines (CPA, CMA, CPE, etc.).  The successful candidate will follow up with recent purchasers to upsell, contact new leads to convert, and work with both new B2B prospects and existing B2B customers on exam-prep solutions for their businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Cold-call prospects that are generated by internal and external sources of leads
  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts
  • Make 50+ outbound calls per day to new and existing customers to explore business opportunities
  • Identify decision makers within targeted leads to begin sales process
  • Penetrate all targeted accounts and generate sales from within client base
  • Collaborate with appropriate team members and manager to determine appropriate strategic sales approaches
  • Generate product or service interest and leverage Becker’s value proposition to close sales
  • Generate leads from cold calling data and ensure that any do not call lists (DNC) are respected
  • Maintain and expand company’s database of prospects
  • Achieve or exceed assigned call and sales quotas
  • Maintain current knowledge of Becker products and services;
  • Attend all new product and service training sessions;
  • Develop new business through prospecting and cold calling;
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in making decisions;
  • Interact effectively and positively with all levels of personnel, and business interests;
  • Adhere to company quality standards, company policies and regulatory guidelines;

Qualifications

    • University or college degree
    • Two or more years of direct work experience in a sales or telesales capacity
    • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals and achieve sales quotas
    • Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, account development and time management
    • Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience with Sales Force a plus
    • Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows based programs required
