Opportunity at a Glance

The Operations Consultant is responsible for the overall operation of Becker’s USMLE courses for self-study, live virtual and live classrooms within their specific region.  The Consultant schedules classrooms for Becker Professional Education and ensures that each classroom has the necessary equipment and materials. The Consultant supervises the activities of the Teaching Assistants (TA) or Standardized Patients (SPs) within their region.  Prepares classrooms, installs and tests equipment on a regular basis to minimize problems.  Assists with answering student questions, working with student issues related to Client Services and Online Services, and prepares schedule reminders for instructors.  Assists in hiring and training student assistants and performs organizational, clerical, and ad-hoc duties as needed.


  • Complete Outbound Sales Calls for Lead Conversation to assigned lead lists.
  • Develop Full Webinar Plan to include schedule, registration links, virtual rooms, and serve as host.
  • Organize and manage in-center and market events as directed to encourage student engagement and awareness of BPE HC resources.
  • Oversees TAs and SPs in assigned region.
  • Assists in hiring, training, and scheduling TAs and SPs as needed.
  • Supervise TAs and SPs and provides backup assistance as needed.
  • Classroom Management.
  • Provides instructors with schedule reminders and creates ad-hoc reports for instructors and management.
  • Collaborates with instruction team and supervisor to resolve classroom related issues.
  • Acts as a liaison with site coordinators to secure dates, space and unique items as needed.
  • Maintains and monitors all instructional materials to ensure adequate supplies for each class.
  • Hands out student material/supplies as needed.
  • Installs and tests equipment to ensure smooth operation during classes and minimize technical issues.
  • Ensures all BPE hardware and materials have a secured storage area and is safeguarded during class.
  • Attends selected classes to assist with student questions, registration issues, and verify student identity.
  • Responsible for management and submission of the student evaluations and response cards at classroom.
  • Performs the Customer Care role as needed for additional support.
  • Customer Service.
  • Acts as a liaison with the customer service team to ensure all student issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Sends enrolled students welcome emails and periodic emails as needed.
  • Makes calls and emails students when classroom or course changes occur.
  • Analytics.
  •  Completes assigned accounts payable and receivable items as assigned.
  • Acts as a liaison with Client Services regarding classroom schedule activations and student enrollment.
  • Acts as liaison with Client Services and Finance to provide analytics as assigned.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.




  • Associate’s degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years supervisory and general office experience required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills required.
  • Problem resolution required.

  • Ability to work with a diverse population of students and resolve problems diplomatically in a timely manner.
  • Strong Microsoft Office experience required and audio/visual troubleshooting skills desired.
  • Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Must be a team player, willing to share and exchange. 
  • Must be willing to travel in a defined regional area.
