Opportunity at a Glance

The basic purpose of this position is to address the technical needs of the faculty, staff and students at the Northridge Product Development Office. These needs include, but are not limited to Northridge Office IT support, In Class field support, Software Testing and Quality Assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide learners and colleagues with escalated support on all of Becker’s proprietary applications.
  • Oversee, research, and fulfill requests and incidents from colleagues and field staff via phone, email, or existing tracking systems.
  • Assist in the management, setup, troubleshooting process, and distribution of computers, peripheral devices, and software for colleagues and classrooms.
  • Instruct faculty and classroom facilitators on assigned computers and classroom applications.
  • Assist in the testing of new features and applications, plus attend hand over meetings.
  • Report anomalies and potential bugs to Quality Assurance and Software Development teams for further evaluation and confirm fixes.
  • Assist in the development of knowledge Base Articles used by learners and supporting department to resolve end-user scenarios.
  • Report non-technical inquiries or concerns to the appropriate departments for resolution.
  • Assist colleague with the use of network shared services such printers, network connectivities, production applications, and network accounts.
  • Other duties as necessary (as assigned by System Support Department Manager).

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field strongly preferred.
  • A+ Certification preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Must have basic hardware and software troubleshooting skills and proficiency with the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills required.
